Updated: Aug 26, 2020

Ingredients

  • 2 package of 16oz biscuits

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

  • 1/2 large yellow onion, finely diced

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, sliced (bagged cabbage works)

  • 4 carrots peeled with potato peeler.

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

  • 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 3/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2-3 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • Cilantro to garnish

Sauce ingredients

  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce

  • 3 tablespoon molasses

  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400

  2. Cook meat on skillet over medium heat and drain grease.

  3. Add onions and garlic. Continue to cook over medium heat until the onions are soft, about 5-8 minutes.

  4. Add 2 tbsp sesame oil, carrots, and cabbage to the skillet and stir well. Let cook for 10 minutes while stirring often.

  5. In a small separate bowl combine onion powder, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, ground ginger, soy sauce, and vegetable oil.

  6. Combine mixture with the meat and reduce heat to medium-low. Stir often for 5-10 minutes or until your carrots and cabbage is tender.

  7. On low heat whisk together barbecue sauce, molasses, soy sauce, and peanut butter until thoroughly combined (add water if it's too thick).

  8. On a greased baking sheet or pizza pan, roll out the biscuits until forming a crust.

  9. Top the crust with sauces, then cabbage mixture.

  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes (pay attention to the crust so that it doesn't get burned).

  11. Garnish with cilantro and serve.
